Alpine S-SB12V-BNDL Bass Boost Package Includes S-SB12V 12" ported enclosure, S-A60M amplifier, and RUX-KNOB.2 remote level control Everything you need This Alpine Bass Boost bundle gives you everything you need to add some solid bass to your car system. The package includes their S-SB12V subwoofer enclosure, the S-A60M amplifier, and the RUX-KNOB.2 remote level control. The S-SB12V Halo Series enclosure features their S-W12D4 12" subwoofer in a rugged MDF enclosure with black carpet covering, wired for 2-ohm impedance. The sub's Kevlar-reinforced cone and Santoprene surround give you thumping bass at power levels up to 600 watts RMS. The ported enclosure is tuned to 35 Hz to maximize performance. And when you're ready to expand your low end even more, you can add a second S-W12D4 and link the enclosures together with their KTX-H12 linking kit (sold separately). Powerful amplification With 600 watts of power in a 8" x 8" x 2.5" package, the S-A60M amplifier is a perfect match for the enclosure. The amp includes Alpine's Enhanced Shutdown Performance technology to lower the output if the amp runs too hot. Instead of shutting down completely, it continues playing your music until it cools enough to return to full power. Its low-pass filter and adjustable bass boost let you dial in your sound. The amp includes preamp- and speaker-level inputs, so you can install it in almost any vehicle, even one with a factory radio. If you're using the speaker-level inputs, the amp senses an incoming signal and turns itself on, eliminating the need to run a turn-on wire back to your vehicle's receiver or fuse box. Control your sound The RUX-KNOB.2 remote level controller adjusts the amp's level from its set maximum volume all the way down to virtually "off." Since it adjusts level and not "bass boost," you'll maintain the same bass tone as you turn the volume up and down. The edges are naturally weaker than the center on a standard, off-the-shelf oval cone due to the elongated shape. Since the CFRP material is directional, it can be manipulated during the molding process to strengthen the areas of the cone that are generally weak. The result is rigidity throughout the cone that delivers accurate and efficient performance. The ability to manipulate the CFRP material during molding is currently exclusive to Alpine and the S-Series speakers. Alpine has three patent-pending procedures in support of this innovative manufacturing process.
