Like the C1, its a large-diaphragm condenser mic with a wide frequency response and cardioid pickup pattern. It adds a switchable input pad and high-pass filter for additional flexibility. The input pad offers settings for 0, -6, and -12 dB so it can be used on loud sources without clipping. The high-pass filter can be set to 100 Hz or 200 Hz to reduce rumble and boominess, or bypassed to preserve low frequencies. The C2 is protected by a precision-tooled body and dent-resistant stainless steel mesh windscreen, and comes with a shockmount and carrying case.
