The S-Series speakers are the first in the industry to use CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic), a very lightweight yet rigid material. The edges are naturally weaker than the center on a standard, off-the-shelf oval cone due to the elongated shape. Since the CFRP material is directional, it can be manipulated during the molding process to strengthen the areas of the cone that are generally weak. The result is rigidity throughout the cone that delivers accurate and efficient performance. The ability to manipulate the CFRP material during molding is currently exclusive to Alpine and the S-Series speakers. Alpine has three patent-pending procedures in support of this innovative manufacturing process.

CARBON GRAPHITE TWEETER
The tweeter’s diaphragm is built from a sheet of carbon graphite which enables it to reproduce frequency ranges in the upper 55kHz range, usually achieved using a harsher, hard dome tweeter like Aluminum or Titanium. Carbon graphite allows us to hit those High-rez audio-compatible frequencies while maintaining the softer, more damped sound qualities of a soft dome.
NEW CONE MATERIAL
The X-Series’ speaker cone is made from a tightly interwoven Nano-fiber material. The extremely small diameter fibers create a damped, rigid cone structure while staying lightweight. Because of this light rigidity, the X-Series speaker is capable of highly accurate sound reproduction while maintaining a soft tonality. The cone’s resistance to flex ensures it is very little to no discoloration of sound and phase shifts. The result is a highly accurate speaker that is well-staged in front of you.

MORE OUTPUT FOR MORE FUN
The woofers have a large, 35-millimeter (mm) voice coil, allowing more coil windings to fit in the gap. This results in more excellent heat dissipation and increased power handling for superior control and output.
The R-Series speakers incorporate Alpine’s patented High-Amplitude Multi-Roll Surround (H.A.M.R.) for control and accuracy. The component models use a crossover with an in-line, passive design and reduced footprint, contributing to easier installation.
EXCLUSIVE CONE TECHNOLOGY
The R-Series speakers use Alpine’s exclusive cone technology, Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP), a high-strength, lightweight material. CFRP can be custom-formed so that its fibers align in the same direction as the curve and shape of the cone, thereby reducing resonant peaks and increasing the speakers’ mid-bass performance and dynamic range. CFRP is also used as a tweeter diaphragm, enabling the speakers to perform into the 45kHz range and making them compliant with High-Resolution Audio playback.
BETTER FITMENT WITHOUT SACRIFICING MOTOR FORCE
The R-Series speakers use a neodymium magnet, which gives them a shorter overall height compared to other speaker brands. They also use a new, shallower grill design. The result: an improved fitment design that lets the R-Series speakers fit into tighter install locations without sacrificing motor force.

Our TS-G1620F speakers are excellent choices to replace a bad set of factory 6-1/2" speakers. Their two-way design handles 300 watts max. Power (40 watts nominal) and features Pioneer’s extremely strong and lightweight Injected Molded Polypropylene™ (IMPP) Composite Cone Woofer for improved sensitivity and reduced distortion. You don't get just basic, run-of-the-mill features either.
